Call for e-posters

Guidelines for abstract submission of E-Poster

  • Your abstract text should have no more than 250 words.
  • Students registered for 42-AOMSI are eligible for submitting abstracts only in E-POSTER Category.
  • Your abstract should clearly and concisely outline the content of the E-poster and should include key points/issues to be addressed.
  • Images, graphs and tables ARE NOT ALLOWED in the abstract.
  • We recommend that your E-POSTER abstract should include the following sections where-ever applicable: -
   Authors and institutions
   Background / Introduction
   References / Bibliography (not more than 2)
  • Accepted abstracts will be notified along with allotted Poster code through email.


  • Last date for submission of abstracts – 1st September 2017
  • Last date for notification of abstract acceptance – 25th September 2017
  • Last date for submission of e-poster – 15th October 2017


1) All poster display monitors will be set in 4:3 landscape style orientation (i.e. “Horizontal”) and all information (i.e. text, data, photos, and figures) must be designed to appear within ONE window. Design your Poster in 4 :3 standard powerpoint slide landscape format.
Only one Slide is allowed per E-Poster and it should not include other medias like animation or videos.

2) You should use dark text colors on a light background, or vice versa. Recommended fonts are Times New Roman, Calibri, Verdana and Arial, as these are easy to read.

3) Font size: The font size should be 14pt or bigger.

4) Mention your allotted abstract number on right uppermost corner of the E-poster. Don’t mention authors name and institution names on the posters.

5) Disclosure Statement (Conflicts of interest: The disclosure statement detailing any potential conflicts of interest should be included on your E-Poster).

6) Data size should not exceed 20 MB for uploading.

Please note:

»  In an effort to highlight the research presented by the trainees in the conference, the abstracts selected as e-Poster Presentation will be displayed during a special designated scheduled session. During this session you will be expected to be at your poster to p​resent the posters and answer questions. ​Schedule will be displayed on the website with allotted time and space for presentation.

»  Allocated time will be 2 minutes for E-poster presentation followed by 2 minutes of discussion.

»  Do not mention authors name and institutes name in the E-posters. If mentioned, posters will not be displayed and considered for prize.
